Introduction to AccScript for NSOs
A first presentation of the tool, its purpose, and how it supports reproducible national accounts compilation.
View event details →Official AccScript Project
AccScript is a domain-specific scripting environment designed to help National Statistical Offices automate, validate, document, and reproduce Supply and Use Table balancing workflows.
Version 1 focus
Version 1 supports the Moroccan product nomenclature and focuses on ERETES-style product balancing logic. The roadmap aims toward a nomenclature-agnostic architecture for wider NSO adoption.
Key idea
AccScript acts as an extra scripting layer: it helps national accountants express, test, document, and reproduce balancing assumptions while staying aligned with existing production systems.
National accountants can write balancing logic explicitly instead of relying only on manual adjustments inside graphical tools or spreadsheets.
Changing an assumption becomes a code change. Re-run the script and compare outputs without rebuilding the work manually.
AccScript is designed for official national accounts production environments, starting with ERETES-style Supply and Use Table workflows.
Core principles
Events & training
AccScript will start with online events and training sessions for NSOs, with future on-premise missions depending on country requests and available support.
